But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the Word and at once with joy receiveth it;
And he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;
The one on whom seed was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and at once welcomes it with joy;
As for what was sown on thin (rocky) soil, this is he who hears the Word and at once welcomes and accepts it with joy;
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
And the one sown on rocky ground—this is one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy.
As for the seed that was spread on rocky ground, this refers to people who hear the word and immediately receive it joyfully.
The seed sown on rocky ground is like a person who hears the message and accepts it with joy at once,
The seeds that fell on rocky ground are the people who gladly hear the message and accept it at once.
But he that is sown on the rocky places—this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,
And the one having been sown the seed on the rocky places— this person is the one hearing the word and immediately receiving it with joy.
And he that received the seed upon stony ground, is he that heareth the word, and immediately receiveth it with joy.
“And what about the seed that fell on rocky ground? That is like the people who hear the teaching and quickly and gladly accept it.
Other seeds fell on soil with rocks in it. This is like some people who hear God's message. These people are happy to believe it for a time.

“Now listen to the parable of the sower. When a man hears the message of the kingdom and does not grasp it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is like the seed sown by the road-side. The seed sown on the stony patches represents the man who hears the message and eagerly accepts it. But it has not taken root in him and does not last long—the moment trouble or persecution arises through the message he gives up his faith at once. The seed sown among the thorns represents the man who hears the message, and then the worries of this life and the illusions of wealth choke it to death and so it produces no ‘crop’ in his life. But the seed sown on good soil is the man who both hears and understands the message. His life shows a good crop, a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
But he that was planted in stony places, the same is he that hears the word and receives it immediately with joy;
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
And the one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;
And what was sown on the rocky ground—this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy.
The shallow, rocky soil represents the heart of a man who hears the message and receives it with real joy,
“The seed cast in the gravel—this is the person who hears and instantly responds with enthusiasm. But there is no soil of character, and so when the emotions wear off and some difficulty arrives, there is nothing to show for it.
But he who received the seed on rocky ground is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,

You know people who hear the word of God and receive it joyfully—but then, somehow, the word fails to take root in their hearts. It is temporary. As soon as there is trouble for those people, they trip: those people are the seeds strewn on the rocky soil.
